My wife got me the Bose 321 GS System for my birthday, and it really shocked me! You see, I had been looking at surround sound systems for 6 months, and had all but given up. They all seemed too expensive, and difficult to set up. The many features of the 321 GS have really enhanced my listening pleasure.
I had to ask my wife what she paid for the Series III, (impolite, I know). When she told me I was very pleasantly surprised. It was several hundred dollars less than the cheapest surround sound system I had looked at.
Leave it to my wife to be a good shopper!
Now I had to decide where to put it. I elected to put it in our family room, because it has the best acoustics in our house.
Contrary to what I was led to believe about most surround sound systems, it was VERY easy to set up!It was out of the box, and playing music in about 25 minutes. And most of that time was spent unpacking it!
It is really an interesting set up. The system features 2 TINY speakers, and a rather large sub woofer kind of thing, that is hidden from view.
The Bose 321 GS is not a classic surround sound, in that it only has the 2 speakers. However, the music fills my entire family room, and provides the full effect.
I can also use my 321 GS system with my HDTV in addition to my Blu-ray disc player. The unit comes with a DVD/CD player with an added AM/FM tuner.
This gives us great versatility because we can watch our favorite movies, enjoy the radio or listen to our favorite compact discs. The Series III provides you with the ability to do all of that,all from one system. The universal remote that accompanies this model is truly universal. I can control most of my electronic "toys" with the one remote.
